Romantik Hotel U Raka

An utterly unique hotel.

Pros: Wonderful, delightfully quirky hotel in a very quiet location not far from the castle. Very comfortable beds and superb bathroom. It really doesn’t feel like a hotel and the rooms are imaginatively designed to avoid the hotel feel - lots of wood and rustic features and subtle lighting. And pleasingly … no TV! The peaceful garden is similarly designed with all sorts of unusual features. It’s a steep climb down to the town but the efficient and frequent tram service (stop 5 or so minutes away) means that really isn’t an issue. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices, including freshly cooked eggs and as much of their excellent coffee as you like.

Cons: We had some concerns about their fire safety arrangements which we raised with the staff. Unless they have changed the deadlocks and If you are not on the ground floor, you might wish to make sure you know which key you will need to get out of the hotel at night in case of fire.

Pros: A very quiet location in a very interesting small area of Prague. Very quirky and beautifully presented building and rooms. An extremely delicious breakfast and tea shop on site. Staff are exceptionally helpful and kind.

A perfect place for a weekend getaway, with kind and helpful staff. :)

Pros: Due to a train delay, we arrived well after the check-in time. Communication with the staff was easy throughout—they patiently waited for us and never made us feel like we were arriving long after their working hours. After a long and exhausting train journey, this thoughtful attitude was especially appreciated.

In all, an excellent hotel, location and holiday.

Pros: Romantik Hotel U Raka is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Prague. The hotel has a cozy, old-world charm that makes it feel really special. Each room is unique and full of character, with a mix of historic details and modern comfort. Mr. Paul and Magda are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Magda's breakfast is delicious and served in a lovely setting. The location is perfect—quiet, yet just a short walk from Prague Castle. If you want a stay that’s charming, relaxing, and full of personality, this is the place.

Cons: Having the facilities to make coffee in the room would have been appreciated.

Perfect place to stay for a city trip in Prague

Pros: The stayment at Romantik Hotel U Raka was verys special for us. We enjoyed it from the frst till the last minute. Our room was set up till the smallest detail and felt very comfortable. The breakfast and breakfast service is just outstanding.

Cons: Not every staff member gave us service/help at the same high level.

Pros: Such a fantastic personal service, freshly cooked breakfast with lots of bread variations, yoghurt, fruit, all home-made. Fantastic service

Cons: A bath would've been nice a room only had a shower. Apart from that everything was fantastic.

Great place to stay for a visit to Prague!

Pros: Great breakfast and highly accommodating staff! Location near castle and tram. The decor was excellent old country farmhouse.I would give 10 out of ten!

Pros: Tasty and varied breakfast. Very charming building, privacy guaranteed. Warm and cozy inside the room. The location is perfect to explore Prague, it is at a walking distance from all most important sites while it is in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood, close to Loreta and Prague Castle.
