The romantic Monastery Hotel in the peaceful garden of the Strahov Monastery offers superb views of Prague Castle, Lesser Town, the Old Town and the Vltava river. Prague Castle is just a few steps away and all the other historic sights of the Golden City are easily accessible on foot as well or by public transport. The modern interior design uniquely complements the ancient style of this building. All rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV, free high-speed internet and tea and coffee making facilities. An internet point and a wireless internet zone is available in the lobby free of charge. Drinks can be purchased at the reception, which can also arrange sightseeing tours and excursions. Weekend in Prague

Pros: Really nice surroundings and really helpful staff. We got our room way earlier than we were supposed to, we even got to choose between rooms. The hotel offers a varied breakfast with both sweet and savory options. Would stay here again!

Pros: Excellent hotel — spotless cleanliness and complete tranquility. Wonderful location: within the monastery walls, with high ceilings and a feeling of both space and comfort, full of charm and atmosphere. The staff deserve special thanks: the manager and the waitress Oksana — all very attentive, friendly, and professional. High-quality and varied breakfast. Overall, a place with character and history, offering a true sense of comfort. We would gladly return.

Beautiful location with a great choice of breakfasts!

Pros: The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bedroom was really clean, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a great range of items to choose from - very impressive. The location was beautiful, in a picturesque cobbled square - a little out of town and up the hill but we walked into the centre in around 20-30 minutes each day.

Cons: The layout of the bedroom was a bit tricky to work with. The bathroom and a small area of storage space (along with tea & coffee facilities) was on the first level, then we had to climb a steep metal staircase to the area with our bed. We were right up on the top floor(s) of the building, so the roof sloped in, leaving very little space to move around the bedroom, and nowhere else to store any clothes. There was one chair at a desk on the lower level, but if we wanted to sit down together for a coffee, we had to climb up to lie on the bed. Don't think this would have been an issue for younger people!

Great spot, feel part of the old monastery, in a very comfortable small hotel

Pros: Location on the old castle hill. Helpful staff, especially re transport routes in the city. Pleasant spacious room with a nice sitting area as well as bed.

Cons: Would be good to fit anti-slip and handles for safety in the shower area

Magical stay in Prague :)

Pros: Beautiful hotel at a magical spot with views across Prague. Great location. Lovely staff. Delicious breakfast with many fresh fruits and veggies. Definitely recommend :)

Cons: The sound insulation between the rooms - there are always two rooms close to each other and you hear a lot from the neighboring room. I heard my neighbor snoring in distance and was waken up by a shower in the morning. It didn't destroy my experience, but maybe something to consider for the next renovations.

Stunning hotel with a stunning view

Pros: Beautiful and stunning looking hotel and the originality of how its kept from years ago. Beds was super comfortable and the view point overlooking all of Prague was incredible.

Cons: Cleaners did well but they need to check all beds fully as there was a moment I cut myself by accident and I got a little bit on the bed and when the Cleaners came to change the bedding they not changed the sheet that had the bit of blood on it plus they didnt mop the floors properly.

Look at Prague from location closer to Heaven

Pros: Magnificent location for my meetings at Czernin Palace and embassies. I also enjoyed going to Mass at 6pm in the beautiful church. Calm and refined environment with good Czech restaurants nearby. Happy to be far from tourist crowds. The staff extremely supportive providing special food choices for my allergies.

Cons: That the hotel did not have latex pillows. Plenty of others, but I prefer latex for allergy reasons. Also the cleaning... i found a used sock under the coffee table, and a scarf behind the sofa, quite likely from previous guests.
