Hotel Taurus

Pros: The hotel was located in a really nice place. Just outside of the center, but in a really nice neighborhood with a lot of pubs and places with local people, just a few minutes from the touristic center. The staff of the hotel was awesome.

Cons: That we just booked 2 nights.

Comfy stay.

Pros: The location is great. Beds are comfortable. The staff are all professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, offering a good selection of food. A real bonus for us was being able to store our luggage before check-in time and also after check-out.

Nice location clean with good breakfast

Pros: The breakfast was very good. I really liked it — everything was fresh and there were many options for everyone. The location is excellent, very close to the metro, so you can easily reach anywhere in the city. I was a solo traveler and the room size was sufficient for one person. The room was clean.

Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was the bed and pillow — they were not very comfortable for me, although this may vary from person to person. As you can see in the picture, the pillow size is quite large and I personally did not find it comfortable.

Pros: We needed three single beds and the hotel kindly accommodated this. The room on the top floor at the back of the hotel was still and quiet, there was no noise from outside discernable at all. The hotel is in a busy area so has excellent access to restaurants in Vinohrady and the traditional pubs in Luxemburg Ulica and is also a short walk to the Flora shopping mall, with a food court. I liked this was an old historic hotel and it had its original windows made of wood and the original doors and frames in our room. The reception staff were very polite and helpful on our arrival. What was also nice was that there was a proper reception area where you could sit and have a chat on getting back from an evening out. And also in the morning after breakfast.

Cons: Nothing not to like.

Pros: Perfect location - very near a supermarket and a metro station. A bit old, but clean hotel. Helpful staff. Great breakfast.

Cons: Sometimes too many people at breakfast, but it’s managed good. Really, nothing to complain about.

Pros: Location was good, I took the metro to get to the center but it was close. Breakfast was amazing ❤️

Cons: The walls were very thin, loud neighbours, loud TV. Also, I kept on waking up because I kept hearing somebody cough all night nonstop.

Convenient, good value for money but a little too loud for me.

Pros: I liked the room a lot, it was cozy and had an old time charm to it, reminding me of my granny’s flat all those years ago. The room was clean and had all the bits & bobs I would expect. It’s also in a handy location about 3min walk from a subway station.

Cons: The main thing was that there was some sort of noise from guests in the corridors or in the adjacent rooms until midnight and again from 6am. It wasn’t the most peaceful night. I also learned the hard way that the plug cover in the bathroom sink was high enough to let my engagement ring slide into the waste pipe. While I managed to retrieve it, it nearly gave me a heart attack, skewed my breakfast plans and set the mood for the day. Totally not the hotel’s fault but something to be aware of.
