We thank the friendly staff for the wonderful stay in this beautiful area full of historical sites

Pros: We worked as a team of geologists in the Prague Basin and really enjoyed the location in the beautiful valley with its beech forest. The scenery was stunning, Karlštejn Castle was nearby, and Prague and other destinations were easily accessible by train. The restaurant is very cozy and rustic, and we were able to sit by the fireplace several times where a fire made of beech wood provided pleasant warmth. The food was excellent overall, with a different and delicious selection for breakfast each morning. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We are already planning to return with friends and family and will also use this comfortable place as a base for further geological work in the region. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the entire area, with its beautiful natural surroundings, is perfect for exploring and hiking.

Cons: WiFi is a bit weak which is a bit inconvenient since the cellular coverage is very poor in that area. Suggest to just replace the router to improve the WiFi signal.

Pension bed& breakfast, farmhouse style. Very good.

Pros: Winter, December visit. The Pension was cozy, warm, well heated throughout. Welcoming atmosphere. Large wood fire in the restaurant. Very good food. Great breakfast and such good coffee. Excellent value. Would love to stay there again, and for a week!

Cons: Long walk from the rail station (20 mins). Did not have a car.

A real Czech hospitality experience!

Pros: Lovely family, very attentive! The food is exceptional, the decoration is spot-on and the bedroom was very cosy! We would definitly come back again when revisiting Prague!

A quiet starting point for exploring the castle and the quarry...

Pros: Located in a cul-de-sac in the middle of the forest, the accommodation is very quiet. Here you completely escape the tourist crowds at the foot of the castle. Occasionally you might hear a plane or a sheep grazing in the meadow next to the accommodation. The host was very friendly and spoke fluent English. The price in euros was the same as the price on Booking.com. The room was spacious and adequately heated. There was also a parking space in front of the house, from which you could easily walk to the castle.

Cons: Breakfast wasn't a buffet but rather pre-portioned. There was a little variety, but on average it consisted of three slices of cheese, three slices of ham, five rolls or slices of bread, a very small amount of vegetables, and a piece of cake or something similar. When the host realized I was having a bit more breakfast, he brought me a few extra items. I missed having a kettle (although it was mentioned, I couldn't find one) and/or some drinking water. There isn't a medium-sized grocery store within walking distance. The beds were a bit too hard for my liking. Due to their location above the kitchen and the thin walls, I could hear quite a lot. Fortunately, it was completely quiet from about nine or ten o'clock in the evening until dawn.

Pros: I am traveling by foot so I was happy to have a restaurant right there with the pension.

Cons: No drinking water in the room

Wonderful Hosts, Great Food, Comfortable Rooms and a Quiet Location.........10/10

Pros: Fantastic kind warm hosts, delicious food served all day in the restaurant and on the terrace and varied and filling breakfast. Rooms have all you need with good pressure shower, and an outdoor space either a balcony or a roof terrace to enjoy the sunshine with outside tables and chairs. Phil and Martin the two sons look after you and there is a beautiful golden labrador called Marley. The ladies in the kitchen are always cheery and smiling when you head to breakfast. Walking distance to the castle and centre of town. The owners are warm people who really care about you enjoing your time with them. They made me feel very much at home. Thank you

Good stay.

Pros: Very friendly staff and dog. The location is nice Room was basic, but fine. Very happy with the parking spot. Breakfast is simple, but fresh. Good value for money.

Cons: When we briefly left the room, for a short walk, the lady already came in to clean before check out time. This was a bit uncomfortable as all our things were still in the room.

Highly recommended stay for a one day trip from Prague

Pros: The location was very scenic and everything was in order.
