Nice place deep in the forest, close to Houska Castle, with friendly staff

Pros: Very nice for what we needed…we stayed one night for the purpose of visiting Houska Castle (4/5 min drive away). Bedroom was nice and bed was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and food was good. We had dinner there and the breakfast before we left was a buffet. Our favourite part was the goats who we could see from our bedroom window!

Cons: The bathroom was nice and clean but we didn’t use the shower as we were warned the water in the area was very sulphuric and it smelled bad. This would have been a problem if we had stayed a second night. FYI for anyone staying here also: it’s cash only

Pros: The surroundings were magnificent. At night we heard the deer making loud noises. It was a totally new experience for us. The room and service were excellent. The host most kind person.

Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect! It's located in a backpackers paradise! Very quiet and tranquil. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. He spoke English, which helped me tremendously. The hotel is a short drive to the famous (or infamous) Houska Castle. The restaurant served dinner, which for me were tasty dumplings stuffed with smoked meat! The room I stayed in was large and the bed was comfy.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that I had to pay in cash. Not necessarily a big deal, nor will it prevent me from returning. I'm accustomed to paying with my card everywhere.

Very nice and calm place in the middle of nature. The pension personal make you feel welcome.

Pros: Amazing and welcoming approach of the pension owner and entire personal. Very feel like home spirit all around. Dinner as well as morning breakfast were very rich a delicious

Cons: availability of work office accessories like projector screen would be appreciated. Still we got all the support needed to mitigate that outage. Projector itself worked faultless

Cozy old guesthouse in the middle of nature

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, nice location in the nature, old and cozy guesthouse with fireplace and library, easy self service at night in the guest room

Cons: A bit old equipment, tap water with taste and smell of sulfur

Beautiful old building in a lovely location with excellent traditional Czech food and a warm welcome.

Pros: The location was peaceful and perfect for walking to Hrad Houska (which was closed but still worth the walk). It was early in the season when we visited. We had a fantastic traditional Czech meal in the restaurant which had a roaring fire and candles. We were asked to help ourselves to drinks and to write down what we had on a card. Breakfast was amazing - a lot of choice and kept us going all day. The host, George, and the waitress were just lovely. They could not have done more for us to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Pros: Great room and location. Excellent service, the owners were very service minded.

Rodinný pension má své kouzlo, hlavně je tam domácí atmosféra, využili jsme masážní křeslo zdarma

Pros: Maximální spokojenost - určitě se tam vrátím, ale v léte, autobusová doprava k místu je mimo sezonu problematická.

Cons: nic mně nenadá

Pros: Sehr nette und rustikale Unterkunft. Wir waren mit dem Rad dort und konnten die Räder in der Garage unterstellen.

Pros: Výborná kuchyně, milý personál, klidná, ale zároveň atraktivní lokalita.
